if you're referring to ichi's parents, theory I've seen people post about is that since Ichi's dad is a university professor, its most likely Ichi's mom was a former student at the university and they got married after she graduated hence the age difference

I wouldn't be too worried, "Hornio" already did a interview talking about Anna and Kyo in high school so i doubt the manga is ending soon.

On the geography in this chapter: Bunkyo-ku is basically central Tokyo, encompassing a bunch of rich/famous/fancy neighborhoods, i.e. Yamada's mom's family is loaded. Kawasaki isn't quite out in the sticks, but it's way out in the suburbs.

I dunno, with how much of a fun slice of life this is, this just seems like the author trying to inject some family dynamics and putting a wholesome note at the end. Basically a throwaway chapter for 'character building'
