In light of the these event I just say I’ve never been so jealous of a fictional male as Kyoutarou. He has a girl that has always stuck with him through thick and thin.
When he was as insecure about his interest in the morbid and murders she found it interesting; validating his interest. When she knew he missed his last school trip, she was willing to sacrifice her chance for a role for his happiness and school memories. When he failed his first choice she stuck to him to emotionally support him yet still pushed him to encourage growth. Now she is willing to be once again his pillar of support when he needed it. Yamada is not just beautiful outside but inside as well as he is the luckiest man for those reasons.

yknow im having trouble adjusting to this new era of shoujo/rom com. When komi, nagatoro and glasses ended-this(yamada) was the last one left from that generation but i always felt like the author was lowkey juvenile. Dont get me wrong, i think its a strength considering the tone and the atmosphere of how they choose to represent middle school life and coming of age romance. But i always thought it would be the ceiling that held them back from reaching the peaks komi and glasses were able to peak through regularly. BUT THE SCENE WHERE HE FALLS ASLEEP ON THE TRAIN AND DREAMS THEY OVERSLEPT AND MISSED THEIR SPOT BC YAMADA ALSO FELL ASLEEP AND THE FINAL SHOT OF HIS DREAM BEING HIM MAKING A LOOK OF CONTENT AT HER BC HE LOVES HER THEN INSTANTLY SNAPPING THEM OUT OF THE DREAM BC OF COURSE YAMADA WAS TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY AND DIDNT FALL ASLEEP WAS PEAKKKK. It said so much about these characters ive come to love unconditionally without them saying much at all. That was truly a goated scene
