So, the empire used their ultimate weapons on themselves? What preceded that? Did they unleash a virus that kept turning people into monsters, lost the conventional battle against it, and thus they decided to put a stop to it this way? That would explain why the former empire's land is still full of monsters, yet no people live there anymore, all the towns having been reduced to scorched ruins or worse.

What if MC is mistaken?
What if the Ultimate Weapon that MC is talking about is the new Beast Body he got, and the destruction of the Empire was caused in order to stop it. And because they couldn't kill it, they sealed it. It is most likely the reason all similar beings to MC were sealed up as well.

I read it as their ultimate weapon didn't work as intended, and this was the consequence.
Basically, from what I'm getting from it, is that first they tried the ultimate weapon (from the capital), but it failed catastrophically, and essentially ended the empire in one fell swoop; then the other countries attacked the now isolated smaller towns and cities in the midst of the chaos from the capital's destruction.

This reminds me that there were serious concerns before the first nuclear bomb was tested/detonated, there was a strong belief that either the explosion would never end, or the atmosphere itself would be set alight, killing everyone in the world - good thing Americans decided to test out that hypothesis, right? :dogkek:

i guess you're stuck as a monster eunuch forever and all the women you find sexy will want to kill you and you still won't harm a hair on their head.

From my observation, this Empire was destroyed by some kind of weapon that gone wrong during testing phase where they make a irreversible mistake that caused total wipeout from empire. Its more likely they used some kind of energy weapon that reduced them into nothing and those cities outside from blast radius was get hit by intense heat that explained why it has gray/ash from burning effects from that image.

At first, he hoped that the evidence of Empire still existing despite it was in ruin state like being abandoned or attacked by other nations but seeing that it doesnt leave any trace of it makes him really sad and angry at same time.

Damn, the empire might or might not have deserved it but MC really took the short end of the stick, at least he's still alive which is more than you can say of the however many civilians lived in that capital.

Thanks for the scanlation Slayerscans!

His stick legs feel out of place. The rest of his body is this huge hulking mass then he has those bird or insect legs at the bottom of massive thighs. He should be sinking into the ground with those things since unlike a bird he is supporting a lot of weight relative to the size of the contact points.

Now that he has seen the capital of the empire to have been destroyed, he should try to return to the elves and actually make contact since he figured they would be the most welcoming. Depending on the lifespan in this story there may even be some elves alive that can read the empires language so he could communicate.
