Look up USDC, they put 6 different martial artists in a cage against a regular guy with a fake knife and they all "died" in like ~80% of the fights.
And you know what is even more dangerous than a regular guy with a knife? A trained guy with a knife.
I'll reiterate, even if I were a top-of-the-line martial artist, in this kind of scenario, I would still keep knives, batons, and/or tasers with me.
I mean, fuck, what If one of the guys is like a HEMA practitioner or some shit like that? Have you ever seen a guy who knows exactly what he's doing with a bladed weapon? The only way you ever beat that is by throwing a brick or something.

Real. If you're in a fight and the other person pulls a knife, you're almost definitely getting stabbed or cut. It's just a matter of where you get hurt and whether or not you can take out your opponent/run before you get hurt too badly.

Idk, MOST feels very optimistic. The majority of people who’ve never actually seen violence at this level would likely let go and try to retreat. That or freeze up and get stabbed again. Now we’re talking fighters who grew up in settings like the streets of Brazil, the average hood, or war time Russia I could definitely see that happening but most BJJ guys regular dudes with office jobs😅

Yeah you're right I meant most bjj practitioners who would be considered competitive-level like this girl is described as. like if you've been competing for years in grappling competitions where people people will try to rip your knee joint apart as quick as they can if given a chance and you've decided to enter a no rules street fighting competition . That kind of person probably wouldn't let go of a locked in rear naked choke just because the guy got out a knife and stabbed their arm, that would be leaving themselves to the knifeman's mercy. They'd probably just hide their face in the side/back of the knife guy's head while choking as hard they could and accept a few nasty but non-fatal knife wounds.
