Other guy beat me to it but yeah, he flat out says that told them actual stuff about himself rather than potentially give the game away that he was stalling them by lying. He's Mitsuhara's son and it fits all the details so far, I assumed going in that it would be something like this though I thought it was some sort of disgruntled employee.
