The confusion came after S4 being announced https://myanimelist.net/manga/12854/Toaru_Majutsu_no_Indexone year ago and this one being released before (in fact, there have been no news about S4 since then),

That too and also because usually the order of things is Index gets announced first and then Railgun. This time around there hasn't been no word of Index. Some people are coping by saying they might do Index later since they want to focus on Railgun, but I don't know..

They're STILL making spin-offs of this? Or is the anime just very far behind the novels?

Something like that. All spin-offs (Railgun, Accelerator, Item, etc) takes place in universe during Old Testament, which is the first book of Index. For reference, there's Old Testament, New Testament, and now Genesis Testament.

What's so weird is how similar Coffee Moon is to another manga called Saike Mata Shite mo:

• First arc for both is how the MC is stuck in a time loop
• Next arc seems to switch genres entirely with how there's other people with powers who fight eachother
• There's a group that attacks the MC group because they want to remove their powers so they don't use them for bad
• Final chapter has both end off with a painting being the focus shot (in Saike case, his best friend made it)

Overall Saike Mata Shite mo did it way better. Would recommend.

Is there some sort of "Ran Yakumo" day event going on that I am not aware of? Or did she appear in some recent game? I keep seeing a sudden influx of Ran fanart on Pixiv.
