Part 2 feels like it's written one chapter at a time, with the main goal not being to tell something resembling a coherent story with characters you can actually get attached to before they're unceremoniously killed, but rather to create some new outrageous and wacky thing to happen every chapter. Every chapter tries so fucking hard to have some non-sequitur random bullshit event, and ideally some wacky cliffhanger as well that'll make you go "Wowza! I can't wait to see what comes of this insane and unexpected clownshow twist!"

CSM part 2 is Fujimoto's shitpost, oldschool shit, but it's like Rambo.

The first Rambo movie is about a PTSD ridden vietnam war veteran and how the system failed him.
But what people liked about Rambo was the action and how cool Rambo was when he camouflaged himself and subdued bad guys.
So when they did the next movies in the franchise, Rambo was just an action hero who would massacre people by the hundreds with cool weapons and tactics and the whole action thing got turned up to eleven.

Chainsaw Man had a cool story with good characters, but what people liked was how over the top the action was, how goofy Denji was, how hot were the girls who mentally abused him and how "nonsensical" some parts of it where.
So when a part 2 was made (mostly for money) Fujimoto just turned that shit people liked to 11 and essentially made a parody of his own manga.

They may have been assholes but they were friends and actually cared about Denji, right now Denji is surrounded by people who want to abuse or kill him, I can't help but feel sorry for him it's like a reversion to when he was used by the mob.

I was epecting Denji to snap her head clean off when she called him her dog, PTSD style. He is surprisingly chill.. or rather down bad.

What I can not stand is how he seems unphased that Octodude planned the murder of Nayuta. Like, come on.
