It does seem like it started with a reasonable premise but along the way the plot kind of fell to the wayside. Good news, there's only 7 more chapters till it's completed

Personally, I think this was a completely unnecessary chapter.

Honestly, I lost most of my interest quite a while ago. It just turned into a slog of whether they're getting attacked or attacking others from arc to arc. I honestly even forgot what interested me at the start of this series but I remember at some point, when Maou noticed his... "dark aura", I was hoping for a psychological and intimate resolution of some kind. Like, MC slowly becomes more and more repulsed and depressed from humans and at some point before it goes beyond a certain point and something is about to go wrong, it's the girls who'll pick him up and bring him back to his senses.

But none of that happened, there was once a "relaxing" episode and that's about it. Their relationship is disconnected or professional most of the time. And I don't think I ever gave a rat's ass about the constant Maou attacking another. I can't think of any reason to not drop this anymore...
