I'm curious about the statement "We did it Maou-sama!" honestly seems like it takes one hell of a prediction/prophecy skill to predict getting revived. Meeting was surprisingly abrupt for a skill that you would imagine reviving a person at a time.

@captain_crunch : it is a desperation move, they are not always logical. Plus likely they only need to leave the kingdom, as even is humans control a small portion of the world there should still be multiple kingdoms and this one thinks he is dead.

Like, say, if the demon lord here has power to command Fate or both human and demon received some kind of prophecy that essentially boil down to "100 years later the demon lord is gonna revive", maybe even with extra note of "by a human hand"

The church then chose the 'obvious' answer of trying to kill everyone with resurrection skill, because clearly if nobody is around who can use it, nobody will be around to revive the demon lord...

even in the game, resurrection is one of omnipotent skill... and this guy can do massive-res just like that.
