Do remember, that whatever the setting is - it is done by an inept author of the trashy novel our MC migrates to. It is not meant to be even remotely Ancient Greece and in fact the arc's setting being retarded, absurd, contradictory and flat out misguided lends quite well to the ... uhhh ... setting of the whole Manhua. My immersion was broken the moment I saw that this is set in an Ancient Greece-inspired setting lol (hi, I'm Greek) (... etc. etc. ...)
Every 2nd story arc I find myself again questioning "in what universe would people actually write stories like this?" where it's a wish-fulfillment harem novel where the protagonist is just blatantly evil for no discernible reason?Do remember, that whatever the setting is - it is done by an inept author of the trashy novel our MC migrates to. It makes me wonder if the author of this manhua actually goes through webfiction sites to get inspiration for trashEvery 2nd story arc I find myself again questioning "in what universe would people actually write stories like this?" where it's a wish-fulfillment harem novel where the protagonist is just blatantly evil for no discernible reason?
"We have just met and I like you, [Male Lead 1], now go murder your fiance/wife if you want to be together with me"
Usually they'd at least try to justify it with "male lead is engaged to someone who abuses him" or "MC was wronged somehow and is on an edgy revenge quest". Maybe literally any pre-teen fanfic that gets uploaded online is viable to be picked by the system.
The author could've chosen Selene as the moon goddess, she is after all the actual moon goddess of Greece(as far as I know).

Have you tried reading Chinese webnovel before? You'd be surprised at how many of them are like that. Divine Doctor: Daughter of the First Wife's protagonist Feng Yuheng is a good example of blatantly evil protagonist.Every 2nd story arc I find myself again questioning "in what universe would people actually write stories like this?" where it's a wish-fulfillment harem novel where the protagonist is just blatantly evil for no discernible reason?

Because Artemis is more famous lol. I doubt many know who Selene is.The author could've chosen Selene as the moon goddess, she is after all the actual moon goddess of Greece(as far as I know). It would have also fit better with the transmigrator's character, Selene is like only known for one myth where she likes one guy, being absolutely love struck about the guy. Who's to say she wouldn't love other pretty men as well
I really really don't like how it's Artemis that's used for this. Yes in recent times she is basically the goddess of the moon, but the characterization just doesn't fit with her. The protector of women, the goddess of the hunt, one who represents the unknown wilds, a god where one of the most well known myths of hers is turning some guy into a deer and making his dogs feast on him, I just.
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH
Definitely. She can get the inspiration just by reading those trashy Chinese web novels alone lol.It makes me wonder if the author of this manhua actually goes through webfiction sites to get inspiration for trash
