This arc is finally over, and I'm feeling... Relieved, mostly.
Can't put my figure on it, but something about this whole Literary Giant arc has felt a bit off. Like, there's something about how the characters involved are acting that seems really different than it did before.
Might be similar to that one previous arc where the MC's entire strategy was to constantly gaslight the antagonist into acting far worse than she initially intended to. Made it feel like it was less the current antagonist was actually that bad, and more like the MC was forcing her to be that bad.
And yeah, this whole series is about getting revenge on terrible people, but more recently it feels like the MC's main strategy is deliberately making the antagonist rope innocent people into it all in order to justify the next revenge plot, ruining more and more people's lives. Honestly, and I know this sounds bad, it makes it almost feel like things would have turned out better for everyone had the MC not saved the current host's life.
