It's a pretty good read, but
the husband doing gay porn to pay off debts being framed as an awful thing or a punishment
kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth💀

@omletas yeah I agree, it comes off as a tiny bit homophobic but tbh i don't think the author meant anything by it and if a gay person was forced to do straight porn I'm sure it would be not fun for them either

On another note though, the way all the other bitches ditched tangmenji was hilarious LMAO

Thank you for translations! Is it just me, but I've noticed the recent arcs aren't as intense as the first few? Still enjoyable, but not ass roller-coasterey.

@omletas Yeah agreed. It's kinda homophobic, but I'll take it that the author wanted to maximize the punishment for Chen Ge, making him do p*rn that doesn't align with his sexuality

This arc is finally over, and I'm feeling... Relieved, mostly.

Can't put my figure on it, but something about this whole Literary Giant arc has felt a bit off. Like, there's something about how the characters involved are acting that seems really different than it did before.

Might be similar to that one previous arc where the MC's entire strategy was to constantly gaslight the antagonist into acting far worse than she initially intended to. Made it feel like it was less the current antagonist was actually that bad, and more like the MC was forcing her to be that bad.

And yeah, this whole series is about getting revenge on terrible people, but more recently it feels like the MC's main strategy is deliberately making the antagonist rope innocent people into it all in order to justify the next revenge plot, ruining more and more people's lives. Honestly, and I know this sounds bad, it makes it almost feel like things would have turned out better for everyone had the MC not saved the current host's life. And even if you say "that's the point" it

I agree. The recent arcs aren't as interesting. I hope it improves- it almost feels like the author is trying to make it seem harder, even though we haven't really seen a real villain since the Taoist and Feng Wushuang arcs.

Just my opinion,
What if the ending of this manhua will involve the original story where the agent main character (that we call Su Luxia) came from then she will fix the story herself? From some raws I read (I can't read Chinese so I'm guessing based on the pictures), the agent (idk if his name is Zero or Ling) died from saving 'Su Luxia' in a fire. She will meet a look-alike that can see bamboo rat in future volumes.

It's not perfect, the villains are almost always one-dimensional, and in some cases, the protagonist condemns innocent people who didn't do anything wrong. After every arc, the previously major characters are usually never seen again and you get confused on who is who in the group chat.

Still, it makes a good casual read. Or is it a guilty pleasure? IDK, but if I didn't like it enough to catch up with the new ones, I'd give it less than a 5.

peeped at the raw

The next arc after the writer arc is about what looks like a Japanese setting. And it involves some form of otome game/reverse harem-related scenario (either a character reincarnation, or a Villainess sort). Because the names are SUPER LONG like 山本太一郎. Would have been read as "Yamamoto Taiichirou" in Japanese, which is normal-ish, but it would be "Shanben Taiyi Lang" in Chinese. This can be a mouthful and looks a bit weird. I wonder how translator team will handle these names.

I don't know what the next arc is, but
base on the art, it seems like there will be a battle between the agent in the dimension
