So Leo canonically has a deeper voice right? Because, even if you're immune to manga tropes, he spoke to them face to face and heard their voice. Unless their voice is deceptive, there's no reason to be surprised.

But he probably will be. Because mangas like characters that are functionally braindead.

Chugging all that Monster energy drink in a fantasy world :aquadrink:

So everyone's in agreement that Leo the mystery night is actually the queen, right?
But the Queen said "...the people he mentioned" tho. So it's gotta be a he. But then again there's this particular pattern that always lead the "mysteryman" to be a she so yeah... Pretty sure it's going to be that way.

The thing is, in Japanese series, most of the time they had been using Gender-neutral words when talking about a person, especially for those whose gender haven't been revealed yet.
But English language lacks a proper Gender-neutral word for he/she that is commonly used around the world. So, most of the times Translators just use the basic "he" without bothering with the context.

I saw the raws and she does use the male pronoun "he," so the queen is probably referring to someone else.

Could also just be muffled because helmet so adding to the confusion. Also it's canon that Usato is very dense when it comes to recognising girls and their feelings.

Logically speaking though, wouldn't a full head helmet kind of distort your voice? It's not that much of a stretch to say he couldn't really tell the knight's gender.

Usato has been getting friendly with a lady at every stop so far. So let’s guess which lady knight he’ll be friendly with at this stop. :meguusmug:

I hope this arc is a bit wackier (it’s off to a decent start) than the last one which was a bit of a drag.

In the previous chapter (on page 17) Usato thought about the knight:
QUITE A HIGH-PITCHED VOICE THAT IS.
