Tbf, The One Within the Villainess spent it's whole run showing you how the mc wove the noose for the heroine to hang herself with.

This MC seems to largely just wait and react to the heroine's bs when it shows up. She might prepare but, it waits till things blow up to show it for the most part so far.

I can't say that's necessarily a bad thing but, the former definitely feels better written than the latter for sure.

That makes sense. For The One Within The Villainess, Remilia was out for Pina's blood right from the start. Meanwhile in this one, Lunaria only wanted revenge against her family members and her fiance the prince, and was willing to let Manna go as long as she doesn't cause any problems.

So on one hand, you have an active protagonist since going against the heroine was her goal from the start, and in the other hand a reactive protagonist since going against the heroine was merely a contingency plan.

most likely Mana would be smart enough to have them "remember" promising to keep it all on the downlow for those very reasons
