When you have alone have weapons that threaten either nations survival and royalty, not to mention how the major family you are currently working for is openly admonishing the king for his failure and is clearly ready to take over, there are only consequences if you lose.

He can easily start by taking Amy's head to the king in front of the prince since she's just a commoner and the prince in his stupidity will start something only to get eliminated with the king having to take the fall

Amy is not a Commoner, she is an illegitimate/bastard child of a Baron, who got accepted into the Noble Society.

So, she is higher in social position than MC who is still a Commoner.

Also, the King is the type who would stay silent and allow the Prince to do whatever he wants.

So if MC kills the Prince, both MC & his mother would be sentenced to death immediately (since MC is still a Commoner, so harming the Prince would cause obvious issues).
I mean, the King clearly knows what the Prince did by faking his Seal and selling away Ana, but he still didn't take any action and even tried to punish MC previously when he brought up the talk about the misuse of seal.

There is also the fact to remember that, MC himself isn't that strong. He is only strong because of the gears he created, like the gun or the craft and a few skill he acquired (which are more geared towards assassination than murder). He is weak enough to easily be over-powered by a mob of soldiers as well. This is why there was previously talk of how Ana wanting to protect MC with her sword, because of his weakness in close battles.

As for the Major Noble Family in question, aka., Ana's house. While they are openly admonishing the King for the situation regarding Ana, but that whole situation was brushed away because of two reason.
First, the others in the Noble Society don't really have high opinion towards Ana's house, as they are primarily an agriculture based noble house, rather than military. So, even if they are a major house and is openly criticizing the King, it doesn't really matter to the governing royalty and other nobles.
And the other factor is that the Enemy Kingdom had declared a war at the same time, which is diverting everyone's focus from the scandal that the Prince caused towards the war instead, including Ana's house who also had to work on defending their own region.

No, there'd be too little resolution at this point for that it to be a good ending. It'd be tragic, but it'd make for a poor ending because too few issues would actually be resolved by their deaths, for instance, the prince would pretty much get away with everything since Allen wouldn't be around to scare the kingdom into holding him accountable. It'd make for a pretty crappy end as far as tragic series go 🤔

Weeeeell, had it been me, I would have assassinated Amy long ago because she is human scum and the main root of the current issues. Getting rid of her would turn that world into a better place. Let's see: Multicast, Chantless, Alchemy, Wind Magic, Concealment - Allan could use a lot to make sure she dies:

One idea would be to sneak into Amy's housing, locate her bed chamber and use Wind Magic and Alchemy. For example flood the entire room with carbon dioxide while she sleeps. If the concentration becomes high enough, like over 30%, she'd be dead before she would wake up and could use healing magic. But obviously Allan wouldn't do something like that. Had they taken my woman and done that to her, I'd find ways to erase them one by one and they wouldn't even know what hit them.
