what you said the MC kinda explained in page 21

He prevented Anastasia's condemnation and banishment which resulted in the civil war not happening thus preventing the invasion

Kinda stupid of trash prince to do it in the original timeline but I guess its for plot purposes.....so backing or not he will go after the MC and his loved ones cuz he can lol until he gets caught and condemned by the king himself

someone correct me if I'm wrong,
but in original story, the Prince that MC defeated, never really planned for Anastasia to be sexually assaulted by bandits. he didn't care really, also Amy in original game was actually a kind person but naive of the situation.

The Prince sold Anastasia to the neighboring country's Prince secretly by arranging for her to be kidnapped in return for some favor or something i don't remember.

it was the neighboring country's prince's plan for his kidnapping to be halfway attacked by bandits group who would all assault Anastasia until they basically mind break her so that he can then give her some cursed sword that fit her Ice power to control her and make her into a weapon of mass destruction, who become one of the game's final boss.

this was the original plot in the game that was explained to us early on in the webnovel.

The dukedom.
The dukedom will care.

EDIT: Ya'll are completely missing the point, that I was entirely hinging on the fact that the MC fought for a Duke's daughter, officially.
Going against the MC now, is to directly spit in the Duke's face, which can give immense political leeway in favor of the Duke.
It is not about "They are honor-bound to play nice", it's about not pissing off the highest form of authority in the entire kingdom other than the king.

P.S: Also, do not forget that this setting makes no sense if you're trying to apply actual history to it. That is to say -- in which world would peasants be receiving official education outside of a church, and on top of that -- together with nobility, not to mention, the royalty of the kingdom?
It reminds me a dumb ass story in which slaves were also allowed to study together with royalty. If the story goes so much off the rails, you cannot hark about how "that's not how that works in real life".
Yeah no shit it doesn't.
Funny you say that since from what i read of the novel, they literally keep pissing off the duke's family to the point they secede from the kingdom forming their own kingdom after the royal family goes 1 step too far (though considering alan has already proven to be a military asset by this point, it's extremely stupid of them in the first place to bully the dragon as it were).

I hate to sound like a broken record, but the education thing was more based on income more than nobility since schools required you to pay a tuition, france is a good example where it was common for commoners and nobles to attend the same school (this was useful for finding good vassals for the nobility), royalty on the other hand, that was uncommon to say the least for many reasons, though i do believe it did occasionally if rarely, happened.

This was an official duel, why the fuck would he make the idiotic assumption that they'd execute him? They'd destroy their image more than he already has.

I don't understand why he's expecting such dire retribution, such as execution.
He was literally the representative of a Duke's daughter. Duke. That's almost the highest ranking in the noble-hierarchy. If royalty would go for his head, it'd be a direct disrespect to the Dukedom of the kingdom. That's fucking stupid. Am I missing anything here? It's not like the MC tossed a rock at them out of nowhere, it was an official duel, for the honor of an extremely high ranking noble for fuck's sake.
Honestly, no. It's just that the royalty of this kingdom and their actions pretty much flaunt the general idea of respect for the common people. More so than most fantasy stories from what I feel.

let's hope the heroine self-destructed in some ways and our MC will gain a favorable relationship with the "villainess".

Thanks for the Chapter. Hope you'll do some more. :3
Well in the web novel if I remember correctly the "heroine" forced to become a prostitute and died somewhere of exhausting and Anastasia married MC.

While normally you'd be correct, let's put some context on this:
This was an arranged marriage between a Duke's daughter and a crowned prince that, was in a relationship with a woman that was not his bride-to-be, the Duke's daughter, and even wanted to have a fucking duel with his fiancee. And who we know from Allen was going to annul their engagement without about as much grace and planning as "I want to be with this chick instead so I'll just publicly say that our engagement is annulled without any input from my father" and who even planned/hoped the Duke's daughter would end up ruined and disgraced from such a public thing.

...A prince that does that is retarded enough to engage in petty vindictive shit against a commoner that has the Duke's favor/backing. Because if he was willing to do that to a Duke's daughter, this guy wouldn't even rate in his feeble mind.

It's also not a known factor to the MC that he favor of the Duke yet. He insulted a crowned prince that was willing to murder the Duke's daughter in a duel (as a second, no less, she didn't challenge him). He doesn't really have much to base his faith and hopes on that the Prince and his retinue of retards won't try shit. Because they're that dumb and brazen.

This. Come to the late medieval period it was also a point of contention amongst nobles that made them super assmad because there was a growing merchant and business class where many of them were much financially wealthy than them.

This is why the first sumptuary laws came into effect in Europe since the time of Rome. Butthurt nobles that were assblasted about merchants having more coin than them and visible broadcasting it. And it was one of the last ditch attempts at nobles trying to hold together social/cultural hierarchies when it was clear that things were permanently changing.

It's not that he doesn't have trust for the Ramslettes. All Allen knows is he's accomplished his mission. He has no idea of Anastasia, a noble whom he cannot directly talk to, thoughts towards him.

For all he knows Anastasia who has the whats best for the country on her mind, she may let him be executed. After all he is only a commoner who was a classmate.

Agree best mom.
yes but IIRC, he thinks the ramslette family protects their subject very well. by that logic, he should at least chill tf out and trust a lil bit to someone he represented that he will be protected and will not get any ramification whatsoever unless the emperor, if he was not wise, has deemed to do so.

Dear God! They invaded so hard the country became the Baltic Sea!

to be fair, he's thinking of it more like he's doing it for a girl he one-sidedly admires who is still devoted to her duty. He doesn't quite get that the feeling that they'd charge into war for them is mutual, and he hasn't seen enough yet to think that. Also, I don't remember if he knows the king's personality ahead of time buuuuut...dudes an even bigger dick than his son.
