Main ship is alright, don't really like how the people are being brainwashed into relationship. Either way, need a serialisation to get my opinions straight about this one.

It's definitely brainwashing, but... is cupid's arrows the only way for people to fall in love? So it's that or nothing? That makes it more of a dilemma.

Story seems interesting but I don't know how to feel about some1 shooting magical/holy arrows through peoples heads to more or less force them to fall in love. Atleast I wouldn't like my love interest to get brainwashed into liking me

Yeah, I noticed that too, especially with the very first few pages. The girl was clearly about to reject the dude till the arrow hit. This sorta reminds me of "Love Tyrant", where the cupid would sorta force a relationship as long she write their names in a book. Since this is a one-shot, it is not TOO bad, but as a full-on story, I would hope there were some nuances and rules for that lol

Some good basics but needs some rethinking of how her power works before serialisation. Right now it just looks like it forces her target to fall for whatever is in front of them with no regards to what their feelings had been so far, and that's a bit mindrape-y there, mate.

Art could also see a bit of improvement. Specifically, big girls, yes please, but right now she just looks like he drew a rather regular body and plopped a head three sizes too small on top of it in some of those panels.

I don't really get it myself, from what I can understand, the arrows themselves don't actually brainwash the target, they actually enhance the feeling the target already has... I think? Its not made very clear.

For example, look at the original couple, her friends said that she was always kind to that Otaku, specifically, so there is a chance she liked him, but was confused about her feelings. The arrow only expedited the process.

There's also yuu's and nako's situation, where before the arrow hit nako, she has this moment of realisation, what this realisation is however is not fully understood. But it could easily be nako realizing she likes yuu a bit.

I don't think it's full on brainwashing, look at nako's statement when she pointed to Yoshida and Otaku in the forest, "feelings towards the person infront of you overflows". That makes it sound like the arrows only enhance the feelings you have about the person confessing to you, which is still bad, but atleast it isn't full on brainwashing.

This can be proved by looking at what Yoshida's friend stated in one of the panels, stating she (Yoshida) was always really kind to Otaku specifically, along with the apprehension she showed before declining Otaku.

Love the concept!

But I do not agree with that it is brainwashing. It more seems that the arrow enhances what's already there and maybe break down the nervousness and doubt you have about your feelings. Think of the arrows as more as a wingman urging you on, making you understand your own feeling. But less talk, more to the point.

The Bow and Arrow is more like a anthropomorphical personfication of the concept. With a competitive edge. Would love to see the MC maybe get recruited, competition with other cupids and how does the whole marriage with a cupid really work? Traditions? The hunt for the cupid to see her resolve? How will his classmates react? How will they start dating?

And will the competition still be fierce (from his point of view)?

it seem from the characterization, that the issue might not be how the arrows works themselves, but how the girl use them.

the MC constantly describing her as "only caring about efficiency and not feelings", clearly imply that she does not who/when/how she hit peoples with them.
and her, bragging about being the "number 1 with the most numbers of couples created", also obviously point to her not giving a shit who she hit with her arrows, seem like she only cares about hitting as many as possibles with 0 nuances.

maybe most cupids just use their arrows on couples that seem good together and already shares a lot of affection.
or maybe they might have different arrows somes for crushes, somes for love, ect.

bottom-line, to me, it dosn't seem like the arrows are the issue, it's the way SHE uses them.
my guess is cupids are meant to either create romantic-interest when there are none, or solidify existing one.
SHE dosn't give a shit and just hit anyone, including peoples who are actually already uninterested.
