Classic bad parenting 101.Dad is unbelievable, I must say. He really left it at "forget the doll," and that was it? No discussion, no talk, no consoling--until she brought her back? Does he really not wonder why she became dependant on Forti in the first place? Does he not realize that this whole thing is a criticism of his parenting? Who is he actually treating like a doll?
The robots in this story have been implied to be advanced enough to be capable of real sentience and emotions, but that their personality is being held back by their company's programming to keep them compliant as "dolls".I get the dad probably gonna let his daughter have Forti back because ill assume he felt the guilt for 'taking' the mom from her daughter but seriously dawg, letting the child have Forti is just a temporary bandage. In the end, Forti is just a machine. This dad is honestly suck and incredibly irresponsible piece of shit who can't raise his daughter properly and just throw that responsibility to the fucking sex robot.
Her father is an idiot. I can't believe he had the gull to say he completely understands at the end there.Dad is unbelievable, I must say. He really left it at "forget the doll," and that was it? The worst kind of dumb is the person who is unaware of what they don't know. Maybe if he understood how I adequate he's been and how little he understands, he would actually take steps to improve. Her father is an idiot. And the only logical solution is to destroy what child loves and provide nothing in return. After reading the other comments: here's an hot take, seing someone, a child at that, so attached to a robot instead of other living beings, it's just sad...
It hasn't been explicitly stated, but the "can't handle being around his kid because he's reminded of his dead wife" flag is pretty much Nascar pasted all over this guy. The dialogue on the last few pages pretty much cemented that his actions have revolved entirely around his personal discomfort rather than a genuine concern for his own daughter.Dad is unbelievable, I must say. The fuck? When did i say that? And the only logical solution is to destroy what child loves and provide nothing in return.
Yep, the plan as reliable as the Swiss watches.
I mean, when your best friend betrays you by telling the whole school you assaulted her without actually talking something out first, leaving you totally outcast to the point of ditching school and have nobody to talk to, why wouldn't you get attached to a robot? After reading the other comments: here's an hot take, seing someone, a child at that, so attached to a robot instead of other living beings, it's just sad...
Thank you for your work!
This dad is such a deadbeat that I feel like he wouldn't try to change even if, by some miracle, he came to understand. The worst kind of dumb is the person who is unaware of what they don't know. I never argued about that, i basically said, the entire situation is messed up and there's nothing going right in the story, don't fight me on things i didn't saidI mean, when your best friend betrays you by telling the whole school you assaulted her without actually talking something out first, leaving you totally outcast to the point of ditching school and have nobody to talk to, why wouldn't you get attached to a robot?
Which reminds me, after skimming through the previous chapters, they haven't really settled the problem that started this whole thing in the first place. They were rather rushed to make up and move on, with the friend still thinking she's still in the moral high ground while telling FMC that having such a relationship with a robot is strange. Even now, she still finds getting emotionally attached to a robot is off putting and looks to have some oppositions, but I guess after all that drama, she doesn't want to risk getting into trouble again, so she's just playing along without saying anything. At this point, that's the best she can do right now, but I don't think she should count on things going back to where they were before, and if she changed her mind about her feelings for her, well ... it's too late for that.
I was just explaining a reason why she was so attached to the robot. I agree with you that it's sad and messed up, I don't deny that. The 2nd half of my comment maybe should have been written out separately, but that was not part of an attack on you, same for the 1st half.I never argued about that, i basically said, the entire situation is messed up and there's nothing going right in the story, don't fight me on things i didn't said
Yeah sorry i was too defensive because someone else before tried to put words into my mouth and i took yours the same way. I know and understand her position, just as i understand the position of her dad or her friends, and honestly, when i see this child chasing a broken sex doll, i can't understand how anyone could be happy watching it, it's just, sadI was just explaining a reason why she was so attached to the robot.
