The translator here, it's common practice for web magazines to split mangas in parts (you can check from the official raw linked at the mangadex series page yourself).

Splitting for donation farming is a possible douche move by some groups, but it's not the case here.

I was curious too but haven't gotten around to reading yet. Here's one of the author's (MTL'd) comments from chapter 42 of the WN which coincides with 15.2:

That’s pretty much the gist of it! In terms of order:

1. Tell Liliana, "You are a dog." → A powerful curse with magic-infused words. This is similar to how Platy told the protagonist when they were young, “You will become the Demon King,” or how the command “kneel” made a beastman with weak magic resistance bow down. Words imbued with strong magic are an ancient form of magic, and they have the coercive power to warp reality on their own.
2. Use magic that forbids remembering one’s true identity. → This causes the target (Liliana) and the protagonist, who is the source of the magic, to forget their true identities. (Normally, the caster’s "Ante" would also be affected, but by transferring into the protagonist's soul vessel, they can avoid the effect). Liliana will forget that she is Saintess Liliana, and the protagonist will forget that they are Hero Alexandre.
3. Once Liliana is in a blank state, unable to remember her true identity, the curse of "You are a dog" will take effect. → This causes Liliana to begin simulating the concept of a "dog" as she understands it and to start acting like one. As a result, her personality and memories as Liliana are sealed. Similarly, the protagonist will lose their background as Alexandre and will begin to act as a demon prince, Zilbagias, who has a deep hatred for dark creatures and a strong desire to take Liliana back.

From the protagonist's perspective, they hope that when they return to their room and are alone with Liliana, Ante will lift the magic and they’ll regain their memories.



Chapter 15.1 also skips an important bit in the novel which will likely be shown as a flashback.

Liliana will eventually regain her limbs and ego, and returns home (secretly; she's still officially missing) to report to her mother the queen about Alec.

He used Taboo to seal his Alexander personality and her personality leaving him as a bonafide demon prince and her as a dog.

In addition to those things, there is an additional complication:

While the gimmick worked, and Alex successfully regained himself when Ante lifted the spell, it didn't work for Liliana. For some reason, she remained as she was, acting as a dog. Of course, Alex became understandably worried that he had inadvertently obliterated Liliana's original ego entirely, meaning she would be stuck believing she was a dog for good.

Interestingly, the personality of Jibalgias remained aware that he was just a constructed personality whose purpose was to stand in for Alex, literally for just a few hours before he was to be 'eliminated' when Alex takes his body back. He just goes with it, and jokes that the main personality will be appalled at what happened when he 'wakes up'.

Liliana's bad acting is due to the whole thing being essentially a kind of hypnosis. She doesn't magically gain the knowledge of how to act like a real dog, instead she acts as how her memories inform her a dog might act. But she really does believe she is a dog....at least for a certain period of time.
