Up to this point the demon kingdom did not seem so bad. But now im eager to see them go down in flames.

I think I was staring to feel a bit more “the demons suck but they’re not that bad” feeling due to chapters being a bit happy in the demon world for him, but Godammit this really made that shift mentally.

Ironically I kinda feel like the same thing would happen to demons/etc in the human world by the high up members, less bad, but given the worlds theme I doubt they treat their prisoners well, although most of them likely can’t heal infinitely.

TLDR; I really hope there is some slight possibility to save her, they said she can heal any wound, and maybe it’s possible still with limbs, but mentally— I’ve not got faith.
Don't worry, it gets worse. The "humans are evil too, demons are only doing all this for justified reasons" stuff is repeatedly subbverted in this series. Sometimes evil really is evil and MC finds out the hard way.

Liliana can heal from any injury they've inflicted on her. The real problem is the mental trauma from 7 years of rape and torture.

The first demon king was treated with kindness, made friends and saw the world.

And decided the best thing was to conquer and slaughter the people and nations he visited to elevate his tribe. That's "not that bad" to you eh?
To be fair, those are just their values. It isn't even necessarily malice. The demons simply believe in a society where strength is everything and the weak have no rights. They are all barbarians at heart.

The night elves are arguably worse because they have the same values but are far more sadistic and cunning, they just have a lot less power to carry out their wishes.

I dont get why he didn't kill the two dark elf on the spot. He gain power with breaking taboo, this would have made for one massive taboo. He could have even made them suffer to break an even bigger taboo.
Then had he taken the elven saint for him he would have broken another taboo.
It feel like missed potential.
Yeah, well, prepare for more suffering because Jilbagias/Alex only gains power by doing things HE considers taboo.

Killing night elves or demons(besides maybe his mother) won't make him stronger because he sees them as enemies anyway. Killing humans and forest elves? Now THAT'S taboo.

I’m sorry no matter your reasons, if you do this to anyone you’re the bad guys. I just can’t comprehend any reason for why you would treat someone like this even if they are your enemy. This is just eternal pain and torment without forseeable end, it’s needlessly cruel.
blud, are you just born yesterday?
this happened in our world too, especially on ww, they immediately follow their animal-like instincts, and cannot control their desires.
on both sides, there's no good guy, only desires.

They are not wasting possible labor resources.

They want to obtain the High Elf's healing magic for themselves, but they have not realized the reason they cannot is that healing magic is based on Love. Since they cannot Love their most hated enemy, they will never be able to achieve what their research in keeping her alive is all about. In fact, that's how Zilbagias is going to get her out of this dungeon - because he 'brainwashs her' into being his healbot and then negotiates increased healing for the Dark Elves. (Who sit behind the Demons in the priority queue for healing)

The Rage family raises Humans on a farm to be used as healing resources because they have to sacrifice one for every life they save.

If it wasn't apparent by the rivalty of the mothers, the Demons are CONSTANTLY AT EACH OTHERS THROATS, and the War allows them to work together. (Demons aren't fighting each other right now) The reason the humans aren't dead already is because the Demon King knows the instant it's all over, the army will turn on each other. It was spelled out in the First Demon King's book, which an earlier chapter covered, and laid out in detail in the Light Novel.
You should spoiler tag that bit that I've spoiler tagged.

For those who are curious about what happens much later in the story:
There's this initial consensual brainwashing into her being Jilbagias's dog. That was supposed to be temporary, but she just kind of stays as his dog for a large portion of the currently published series, because she is pretty broken mentally. Eventually there's a situation in which she has to recover her mind to save Jil, which she does, and then they have her escape back into the Pan-human Alliance territory. After that, almost to where the raw novel chapters are currently idling, she contracts with the Devil of Guidance Odigos. And not too long after that she finally reunites with Jil. They have yet to have sex, not sure when that might happen, and she still acts like a dog sometimes, running around on all fours and howling. The Odigos contract might have screwed the demons over more than anything else in the series so far? Without any guide, the demons aren't likely to find any ideal devils to contract with, they are way less likely to even come back from the devil realm.

There were a couple of side chapters in the novel that show the close relationship(as friends and maybe more) between Alex(in his previous life) and Liliana.

BTW he's implied
to be the reason she joined the attack on the demon king's castle. Otherwise she would never have been allowed on a suicide mission, being one of the high elves and a princess at that.

I hope we get to see that adapted in the manga, at least for a few pages.

Now you get it.

Personally it’s just kind of breaking my immersion. Supposedly humans are losing the war against demons and their allies, but I have trouble comprehending that given how chaotic and disorganized the leadership is, on top of apparently the upper echelons are constantly fighting and killing each other. Then there is the fact they are constantly wasting possible labor sources just to torture and kill for both pleasure and education. It just gives me this feeling that the demons are just failing upwards… somehow? The scope of the conflict feels weird, as apparently the top of demon is so strong that there is no infighting, which makes no sense given just how these characters have been presented.
This is exactly why the demon lord started his world conquer. It was in order to unify all demons under a single banner and give them some discipline and civilization. Also demons don't rely on military organization, they are supernatural destructive powers contracted with devils. They are like orks with intelligence and magic powers.

All was well explained in previous chapters.

I dont get why he didn't kill the two dark elf on the spot.
that’d have consequences though. These two elves are doubtlessly high ranking (being in charge of keeping and torturing important prisoners)-him doing such an act would probably be reported back to his father or someone else important. Then the question would be asked ‘Why did you do this?’ and no matter what answer he gives, Liliana will be confiscated and he won’t be able to see her again.

Remember, he has to blend in. Despite being a prince, his personal ranking is that of a minor lord. It’ll be a while before he can cause some trouble without reprocussions.

I don't know if I should say it for this chapter but tanks for the food...

It's explained afterward but basically they're trying to get her healing power for themselves that's the only reason she's still alive, cause they can't figure out how to get it

Not entirely, the thing is his tribe was dying and slowly destroying itself it should have been explained after the dinner but was skipped in the manga it seems, the reason the demon are at war with the rest of the world is that, if they don't war the others they'll destroy themselves which is a massive headache to the demon king, and the the only respite gilbagias gets XD
Idk son that torture dungeon doesnt exactly look like a research institution
And again, she can stop her own regeneration so she has chosen not to die yet
