so the mother got to her goal and saw loneliness so she's f*cking her daughter happiness for her own, for how smart our supposed main girl is, she really got convinced by another loser also if your mother stalks your relationship, she hasn't learned a single thing, I would even doubt that the dad actually cheated on her before the divorce and from how unhinged she is, maybe what did she say to him, to get him to turn on his own daughter like that.
the bf part, she asshole was a douche, although that part author went lazy after making the parents arc, like he didn't even fix the loser, he just played around and took the girl on her naivete with HER FRIGGIN' HUUUUUUGE DADDY ISSUES.
Finally its here, the infamous chapter 29. The pandora's box of Hizumi's Past.
While the people in x are so busy raging their thoughts about the caterpillar guy flashbacks, What I truly find on this chapter sad is that Hizumi is not the cool, stoic, aloof type of girl that we were led to belived with in the early chapters. Everything was just a facade and her putting up fronts. What lies beneath is just a lonely and hopeless girl desperately clinging to someone where she deems as her one and only sanctuary. The real "dame ningen" of this series. That itself is what I find the saddest part of this chapter and I think this is what Iwaba is trying to convey to its readers. That psychological tag was there for a reason.
Now time to grab a lot of drinks and catch all these feelings that are pouring in.
from the webcomic or well the pre-serialization stuff it was always hinted that she was the one damaged, finally we get to see how much. Also it kinda makes it worse by the mother trying to "fix" what she broke with a solution that doesn't even sound like she achieved as we can see she's still alone.
