This is an example of the right mangaka for the right adaptation. His depiction of the auto mode with style, with a even handed dose of absurdity and humor, really makes this a delight to read in this medium, even beyond what the source could have(which undoubtedly has its own unique charms). And should it get an anime, would also inspire the animators.
