I wonder if her skill is based on the things she knows, so that's why she only think is good for cooking, like how MC's ability requires for him to attack an enemy before he is able to used, or visit a place in order to return to it(i'm not sure if recollection works the same like need to know about the material in order to be able to collect it)

I think people just react to the mention of "Unique Skill", just because of they've developed the belief that uniques are supposed to be something inherently OP from the very beginning. Thing is, they can just as quickly dismiss if they can't understand it when it sounds useless to them, just like the MC's Auto Mode. I mean, look at Tierra's reaction when she first heard what it was. The only reason she got to observe and see the actual range of effects was because she was assigned to shadow them. I doubt the people in the temple outside of Tierra's superior would so patient.
