I think I'm more frustrated that I don't have a time machine to jump forward 5 or 6 chapters than I am with these two blockheads being blockheads. But, as usual in romcoms, communication is something everyone but the involved love interests know about.
1 - Yuu has told her several times how, sure, that Enomoto happened to be his first love. However, he doesn't feel that way for her anymore and how she's misunderstanding the situation. Which she has blown off and ignored, especially in the latest two chapters where she instructs Enomoto to get along with Yuu.
2 - You're right, she didn't. Despite that, though, she has had several opportunities to tell him that she wasn't ok with it. She doesn't pull Yuu aside, she doesn't tell him about how she actually feels about it or what she's thinking. Instead she went off making it about other aspects of the role. The harassment Enomoto may receive, how much of Enomoto's time is being consumed ontop of time she already has allotted for other things in her life.
3 - He outright said he didn't understand what was bothering her. As far as he had seen they worked well together, they joked and played around. At the end of the day, despite the reasons Himari had given was something Enomoto had to decide on. Instead of telling him how she really feels she says how they've been working hard together. She made it about something else, which made him respond to that instead. He even acknowledges that she hasn't been acting as she normally does and explains how he sees it. That's, what? 4 or 5 opportunities to pull him aside and tell him. Instead she declares they're no longer friends. Now 5 or 6 opportunities if you include how he texted her afterward and that went ignored after the meet up.
Sure, he should have pulled her aside so they can talk privately about it. But there's absolutely no reason why she couldn't do the same. You can argue that she was put on the spot or backed into a corner and felt as though she couldn't, only that doesn't change the fact that she took the nuclear option after receiving that email to transfer instead of making things clear 1 on 1 after the meet up.
Don't get me wrong, I believe they're both at fault here but those reasons aren't as much of a defense or as sound as they might seem. Honestly, two of the three can very easily apply to her, too.1. because she didn’t realize she was his first love, which brought in a bunch of emotions she was not equipped to handle. 2. She didn’t bring her in knowing that she would REPLACE HER, which is another heap of emotional stress she was not ready for. 3. Her long time best friend doesn’t pick up on the fact this is clearly bothering her, I mean it’s pretty fucking obvious with how she was arguing that she didn’t want it and MC didn’t stop for a second to think “hey maybe let’s table this for now so I can talk 1 on 1 with Himari”.
