Correct me if I'm wrong cause I might misremember this, but isn't she the one who first suggest inviting the other girl to become his model? And now she mad cause he agreed with HER suggestion, which will make him broke his promise with HER?

The problem to her is that the new girl will be the first to wear the accessories, that was the promise MC broke, just having the new girl helping as a model was fine to her.

Then the more she flirts the harder he rebuffs her which drills the concern that even if she did try to confess or something that he would say no deeper and deeper into her head so that’s not even an option.

Hell she even tries desperately to calm herself down before the water incident, like shit was heartbreaking for anyone who’s had a panic attack before. She KNOWS she’s being unreasonable, she KNOWS it’s her fault ennamouto is there at all.

At this point she feels she has no options left at all and a time limit before she’s replaced so she’s desperate and every tool in her tool box keeps making things worse. She’s never even BEEN in love before and she has to navigate it under the worst possible conditions.

Oooooohhh snap back by mc! Finally! Getting physical is over the line, but its refreshing to see he actually has some backbone. Unfortunately instantly followed up by him feeling bad and "oh noez i broke da promis first".

The way I see it, both unrequited, both shit at communicating, BUT! Himari is the one demanding something more - without expressing her feelings clearly and only using signals which she don't even commit to until the end (e.g. the almost kissing prior chapters ago), AND she is the one setting the ground rule that MC can't fall in love with her in the first place. Don't demand something you especially forbid in the first place.

Now I get both are hormonal teens that can't handle their emotions clearly. Although I don't like that only MC is reflecting on his wrongs here. Himari side when? Her monologues only seems to explain how frustrated she is with the situation, but not realizing she has wrongs in the first place.
