For months (years?) I've thought this to be such a poorly written, ridiculous story where every character is an idiot and every development is stupid and I have not been able to understand how or why it's been stupidly successful.

But...I finally got it. With the "HIM?!" panel showing Gotou, brainless appearance, eyes askew in a parody of his normal idiotic look, I understood. Maybe there's something about the translation missing the tone. But I'm nearly certain that I've been thinking about this all wrong.

This whole thing is a joke. It's supposed to be ridiculous. It's supposed to be stupid. It's "wouldn't it be funny if there were a story where everyone was an absolute fucking moron?" We're supposed to laugh with it. It's not supposed to be real drama. These are hijinks. It's a pastiche.

I've been taking it too seriously the whole time and criticizing it for stuff that was never part of the deal. Of course it's not selling 700k copies because people think it's sexy or engaging...it's a comedy.

Another thing we must consider: yanmaga app and Young Magazine are known as the NTR Magazine due to the ginormous quantity of ongoing series (and the most popular ones) being NTR. Daredemo Dakeru being a shameless NTR sure was gonna be a guarantee of success within the magazine.

You better wonder why Karami Zakari managed to sell around 4 million of copies deapite of ending with just 50 chapters. It's one of the most hurtful, blatant and humilliating NTR stories ever.

Good to know so I dont pick anything up from there, let alone support them. Im aware about Karami Zakari, though never read or even checked it. Just know who the artist/auhtor was and avoided it like the plague. Didnt know it sold over 4 mil, trully the cuck nation nr.1, but I found it odd it only had 50 chaps as from the folks who read it said it reads like it was rushed, perhaps even axed. But when hearing 4 mil I doubt that.
