I'm having the same problem.

To clarify, everything but the actual manga pages themselves loads normally, such as the thumbnails, page indexes, and forums.

This was the same issue before the upgrade back in 2018, text load instantly but images don't, some get trouncated too. Seems the last upgrade didn't solve the huge traffic matter or there is a ddos attack.

We have to wait and see, hopefully an admin tell us something.

It's been getting slightly better for me, but the manga pages are still loading slowly/not loading at all.

If it's a DDoS... nothing MangaDex can really do besides blocking the packets + temporarily scaling up their infrastructure.
