I believe that the leisuring journey is always the selling point of this novel/manga all along I mean Satou pretty much not too stress out in any kind of situation so far lmao, and that's what I love, not many manga/novels could cook up the culture and scenario of so many countries and blend it together with the fine concept like Death March
also the art of Death March mangas is so goat, and they have been making manga for Death March for more than 10 years now, I think whoever they are, they must love Death March as well lol and that's just volume 8 of WN, wouldn't it take another 10 years to finish the main story at volume 17? lmfao
Yeah, this is kind of the point; which can be difficult for readers who... have a more cynical outlook on life, let us say?
It makes a lot more sense to me to remember that Satou sees the majority of these people as utter douche-bags; he sees that life is cheap, and the rules favor the few over the many, and so he doesn't have much of an interest in helping people who think slavery is normal and cool, and they discriminate against others based on Supremacist ideals.
He helps regular people and those in immediate need, but... assisting a corrupt and racist system is a big
No from him.
The story makes more sense, and becomes a much better read, when you see the MC through the lens of a person who is inherently Moral.
