Allen continues to be the smartest idiot, the imouto brainwashing is strong.

But thats the thing he is not an idiot, stupid, or anything else. Like the author keeps trying to act like he has some sub iq or is some kind of savant, but he displays none of these traits.

He literally seems to have a photographic, memory, but unlike a savant he actually understands the topics he memorizes and he can explain the details and rationale to other people to a degree they can understand the process. Like in this chapter alone, he wasn't just giving a formula soap, he was explaining in details the nuances of every ingredient etc.

Like I am getting tired of this depiction of him as idiot. Like the only thing he has is, he isn't good with common sense, he has the typical Japanese style low self esteem, and he isn't really good at converting some of his ideas to businesses or scheme, but that doesn't make the engineers who created the apple products or Tesla etc dumber than Steve Jobs or Elon Musk.

If anything the author is just kind of forcing this unrealistic stupidity into a person who demonstrates nothing like that whatsoever, its like some weird revere plot armor. And its not funny.

Like this is what kills 90 percent of manga/anime, the authors just can't let go one off jokes, and run with stupid cliches well past the point its run into the ground.

And yes throw in your stupid yuri joke , lol , that was a great one author , you are such a diabolical mastermind comedy genius. Lets have the MC ntr'd with Yuri, while he the MC remains an author induced incel. I laughed so hard I forgot to laugh. Like if this thing didn't have elves I would dropped this long ago.

Fam, his little sister literally beat his self-esteem and reasoning into the ground so that he doesn't believe that he is attractive to women at all and comes up with far fetched reasoning to explain things away due to years of this abuse. The goddess does nothing to explain this cause it entertaining to her and the other gods. So yes this makes him an idiot cause he doesn't understand that he has a gross misunderstanding of the situation.

You can have high technical smarts but low emotional/social smarts. They are not the same thing. Just look at autism. Literally can be the smartest in their field but potentially don't understand social cues to save their life.

Also, Its fine if you don't like this or whatever, but don't air your gripes on my simple comment, especially with you are bitching about things that aren't in my comment at all, like the yuri joke. I'm not your platform to vent.

The original wn was deleted and there are only 3 light novel volumes, so we don't have much longer to go actually. I'm curious to see what they are gonna do actually.

Edit: Ignore what I said about the LN, there are actually 4 LN volumes out there. So there may actually be life to this series I'm just an idiot at times.

So this is not meant to in any way denigrate or marginalize either the story or its translator, but I thought I heard this got canned by its publisher. Am I wrong? I'd love to be wrong.

I mentioned it another comment, but the original wn was deleted and the light novel only has three volumes and is considered completed. So unfortunately its true.

Edit: Turns out I'm wrong and there are 4 volumes to the LN, with the latest out about a year ago.

Is this panel a parody of anything in particular? A lot of times style shifts in manga like this are riffing on some other series' style, but I don't know which one this'd be.

The original wn was deleted and there are only 3 light novel volumes, so we don't have much longer to go actually. I'm curious to see what they are gonna do actually.

But honestly, as a novel, it's kind of ass. There's way too much internal monologue, and it throws in a lot of weird, pointless jokes for no reason. The world-building is also pretty bad. Even after 4 volumes, the author never brings up the succubus or the fox who joined the convent again—not even once.

That said, it's still kind of a guilty pleasure because it offers a pretty unique story to follow. The idea of a Demon Lord of Sloth whose only ability is buffing his subordinates because he's too lazy is a really good hook. I've never seen that concept before, and it fits Allen perfectly. Hopefully, the author has more ideas planned after Allen finishes building his IR.

Well it turns out I was wrong. The EN sites (NU) I look at only list three volumes out, even the Kakuyomu site only lists three. But sure enough on JP Amazon its there, published June 17th, 2025.

Shows what I know I guess.
