I don't care what anyone says. Ash is lovably, unrelentingly optimistic in a way that's not annoying and that attitude is infectious. So far, everyone he interacts with ends up liking him and it's all in all just wholesome fun.

Again, Felmina could totally have been the snobby elite type of opponent, but she's just sorta "that nice meat lover" so far. No idea where their relationship will go, but as long as the buddy routine stays, I'm happy.

because what does having Mana has to to with paying things

They don't actually expect him to ever get mana, so they're very prepared for him to fail and become extremely depressed when he realizes he can't get mana
