Well I think this was the only solution in order to avoid making this such a harem or something like thatxd, I hope that this plot twist is to make a better arc in the future,since with what has been said now, just now you can make a good plot without feeling forced.

Well at least it all makes sense now. Why he's such a good boy. Why he's a naïve as he is. His lack of experience with any other woman than his Mom. And I get it. Mom's super over protective of her only son and thinks she is doing what she feels is best for him. And due to her mysterious health issues this makes worse because she thinks she's dying every day.

This doesn't justify why she has to be so controlling. But at least the story makes sense now. Once you have your own kids you'll see the Mom's perspective a bit more. She ain't right. But she isn't wrong either

Poor dude is fux0red though - decide to go back to Hokkaido because it'd be good for him and be riddled with guilt. Or stay in Tokyo and have no life and end up with a life cut out for him without making any kind of real decision about that direction. This is gonna be a fucking mess either way :-/
