I feel like there's a missing page between 9 and 10. The bat was in the trees and all of a sudden he's in front of the kids and draining the human on his back?

This chapter felt so disjointed, like way to much happened
and almost none of it was given a reason for why it was happening.
Moreover the action felt so half assed and the gore felt cheep and unearned.

Yeah when I was reading the offical manga, that's just how it is. They make the chapters by 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc. And since they upload them at very different times, I guess they don't flow into each other that much.
