Why do fantasy ‘authors’ always settle for the dumbass system (voice in my head that tells me everything) trope? Does this system have an actual purpose or is it written in because the writer couldn’t come up with a better way for the MC to figure out his abilities. Also why does the ‘Cave King’ have a tame skill? Is it so MC can tame cute animals to slap on the cover books? More slop for the masses I suppose.

Oh no! Goblins (enemies of humans) have washed up ashore on deaths door. Let’s take them in. Uh oh! They are xenophobic (who could have guessed?) But… What’s this? The princess goblin is ill… And the MC has an all cure stone he pulls out of his ass like it’s god damn Pokémon?!? You’re our savior human!!!

It started of strong and went well for a while, but the current arc is such a snooze fest and is way overstaying its welcome, imho.

So many random garbage subplots being started now, all pinned under an annoying shonen battle that I do not care about in the slightest. It was fun with him building a society and exploring the caves but this whole mysterious forebear society body-hijacking and robot helper battle is so boring and slowly paced that it's killing my enjoyment.

I will also continue to die on the hill that aging up the goblin princess so she can be a love interest is creepy, and having her age-up make her look less goblin-y and more like a generic moeblob human anime girl was a dumb and reductive choice.
