Despite all the great ideas early in this manga, I don't think I'll ever recommend it. Maybe in comparison to worse yuri. Or in a timeline where it got a clear sequel. There will be better science nerd yuri but I'll miss these two dorks.

I can even tolerate most of the idiot-ball edging, but these geniuses barely grew. A lot happened yet I feel like I got half of a drama, and half of a goofy romance, and the halves don't combine into a whole. Like it would need to continue or have extra chapters that make better excuses or build up the secondary characters. For instance, last chapter the underclassman was apparently in contact with Hinori when all we saw was one exchange a long time ago when Hinori told her not to interfere...

Rushed or not, it feels rushed because it's a lot of thin story and a repeat schtick.

We need a new tag for “Light-Romance” for this exact reason. A one sided crush isn’t romance in any world, romance needs the “romance”, am I crazy?

I think desperate pining is a kind of romance, idk if I would call it "light" as sometimes that longing can feel way heavier and more evocative than other more traditional romance stories. It is pretty annoying that so many series stop once the couple gets together though. Like... they spend so much time on step one that they forget that there's a whole ass relationship to go through.

Confession > End. Drat. Even if just a chapter or two, I feel like we should always get to see some couple time at the end of a romance. I loved this series at the start but feel the ferris wheel should have been the confession and then the awkward figuring out of the new dynamic ending in a solid, loving relationship.
