It’s funny seeing people react to anachronisms in fantasy like they’ve never seen them before - completely forgetting that Naruto exists in a world based on Japan during the Sengoku Period where they also have TVs, VHS tapes, computers, radios, video games, and other modern amenities.

so your guess about it being over 5KM could be set too low so far. but i think it is max 20 km long..
It makes me wonder if the dragon is purely magic for it be able to fly and carry alot of weigh inside it.

The city's not that big. I estimated it by looking at the distance between objects from which we can estimate the size, like the cottages in the foreground, a chapel in the middle range, and assume the bridges in the background are for pedestrian and single cart traffic. There are also mountain ranges. The valley is probably only 5km wide itself, at most. Probably smaller.

It's truly mind-bogglingly enormous. The wingspan is forming part of the shadow and it exceeds the width of the valley. But the wingspan and length should be comparable. It's very unlikely it's 20km wide or long. Somewhere between 5~10km seems about right. Probably closer to the lower end, unless for example that chapel is actually some cathedral complex larger than the Sistine chapel, or those mountains are taller than Everest. It's already large enough to completely block out rain over Lower Manhattan or even all of Shibuya if it's 5km long.
