Are we sure this Haruka is the same one from the start of chapter 1 ? My initial thought was that the Haruka she asked them to take care of was the brown haired girl with her on the bed ? Which looks like a teenager to me. Couldn't be the daughter of a 20 years old.

Because if that panel is supposed to be "Rinka gave birth and asked her friends to take care of her daughter at the maternity ward" it's missing a pretty big element : the fucking baby ! Because the Haruka we saw in chapter 1 was pretty young, so there's no way she was anything but a newborn eighteen years ago.

Isn't that Haruka she asked them to take care of the brown haired girl with her on the bed ? Looks like a teenager to me. Two years after his disappearance they would be around 20 ? There's no way his 20 year old friend has a 12 year old daughter. More likely a younger sister ?

Yeah and Haruka said herself in the first chapter that her mom went missing when she was young so Haruka must have been born in those 2 years waiting and then the friend going missing.

@lalap00p Sorry, after going back to reread the first chapters I (quite heavily) edited my post but you answered to the earlier version. I now get that we're (probably ?) supposed to conclude that Haruka would be a baby in that panel of page 5 but that doesn't explain why there's no baby in the picture ! (literally) And then, WhoTF is that other person in a hospital pyjama sitting with her on her bed ?

Also, why are his friends (supposedly a group of renown adventurers over 20 years old) dressed in high school uniforms here ?
