Teach him the basics, but ONLY the basics, for a day. Dont charge him, and dont teach him more than that, then send him back home. She is right but not right too. It goes against the boss' intention to make school for mid-tier programmer who stuck in a rut. It's good as manga plot tho. But in reality it may cause every dumb newbie coming expecting to be taught from scratch, when the boss actually want to teach the cool stuff to people who can understand it.
Considering the problem for this guy, who actually want people to meet up for programming, maybe they can capitalise this by making Grindr for programmers
The funniest thing is? Go back to the previous chapter's comments page and you'll see many of the people criticizing him saying he can just go view Youtube videos and the like, the very things she explicitly points out as if to slap their hands for dismissing him on, lol.I think she's got a point.
Although we have so many resources at our disposal in large part due to regular access to the Internet, it can still remain difficult to learn if you're starting from zero. So many resources out there assumes you already have basic knowledge of something, but, in reality, the definition of what basic knowledge is differs from resource to resource.
I've had my share of frustration trying to learn something new and coming across a wall because the quality of the various resources I'm using differs from one another. You can eventually make headway if you're stubborn enough, but most people may not have the time to do so because of other commitments.
In reality, having a guiding hand when you're first starting off is way more efficient in the long run. Once you get the basic idea down, that's when you can start learning independently on your initiative.
Nope, I still stand by my opinion with youtube and such. It only worked because this is a manga; it is an interesting plot by making bossman the foil and our mc finding the solution. It is a part of writing technique. The funniest thing is? I guess that works too. It works this one time, maybe as a leading plot point of them getting the word out and the old company continue to fail. Which is good, true to the underdog story. But I don't see them making this a standard procedure as they are very short on staff and the story so far they only handle one customer per session. It's just not viable, realistically.Teach him the basics, but ONLY the basics, for a day. Dont charge him, and dont teach him more than that, then send him back home.
A week later he can come back and perfectly say "yeah i have a bit of experience", then take him up as normal course student.
He'll only be relevant for the content of the 1st novel, assuming this adaptation will continue afterwardsoof that ex boss? beiong on the volume 3 cover seems like it'll be annoying if he shows up too much versus him getting a 'downfall'
I know it's just a typo, but reading that line gave me anShes one of the best MCs ive seen in a slice of lice manga recently and i relate to this guy more than i should lmao
Thanks for the TL
my thoughts exactly.Nope, I still stand by my opinion with youtube and such. It only worked because this is a manga; it is an interesting plot by making bossman the foil and our mc finding the solution. It is a part of writing technique.
If this is reality, they would just turn him away or point to another school that can cater to his need. It is very tiring entertaining customer who don't even know what they want. Even for this case, the man wants to learn programming to impress his mother but what is the final product for that goal? A cool app? Spreadsheet templates? A small game? That is yet to be seen.
The thread is divided into "help the guy, people who don't are mean" and "you have to be at least this good to enter", and I don't like the attitude of the former. Because standards are necessary. Pity can only go so far and it can lead into people being unreasonable, because they can. But of course, this is a manga and going with the pattern so far, there will be some beautiful solution. But that doesn't mean people who said otherwise is wrong. The view "holding standard is wrong, they are bad people" is what rubbing me.
It's like going to sushi restaurant and telling "Well, I can't eat raw fish. Can you fry this topping?" They could, but why don't you go to a chippy instead?

Eh, is she? If you can't learn how to code a "hello world" program on your own, I feel like maybe programming just isn't for you? I've seen first-hand people who just don't take to it easily and struggle at every step.Yep, she's absolutely right, and she hit the nail on the head.
Nah we on this flow too 🤝Unpopular opinion, but I like her without the cosplay.
As far as I recall, Japanese business puts focus on the portfolio for newer developers, so it's likely he'll learn and create projects with which he can show off his skills.i'm sure she'll be a fine teacher tho hopefully they'd also have papers to where he could actually use as opposed to "i took private lessons" or so, unless there's some kinda 'test' in some programming jobs that you could pass or so to work on. Bc otherwise he'd prolly need some kinda 'side hustle' jobs. wonder how many places in japan where ppl could sell plasma/semen if they were desperate enough
oof that ex boss? beiong on the volume 3 cover seems like it'll be annoying if he shows up too much versus him getting a 'downfall'
