@TTX I may be remembering incorrectly, but didn't Blade have to fight the demon king one on one? They sent a teenager to solve their problems despite the fact that sending a party of quasi-heroes who are all adults could also kill the demon king.

Yeah, it gets really annoying, i get some fun chapters, being a bit of an ass to him, because he is powerful and such, but it just derails into the unfunny "but its comedy"-shit.. I am at the point where i skip mostly trough now, if it didnt get better the next 2-3 chapters thats it i guess...

Beating the MC up every chapter by someone/thing else didnt get funnier with time, instead it gets less funny with everytime.

To the people that continually justify this because it's a "gag manga", don't. First of all, the source material is NOT a "gag" or slapstick comedy based novel. Second of all, these "friends" attitude and actions cannot be excused. The guy, on a regular basis, saves their lives and their reaction? Fuck with the socially ignorant guy, that is still so innocent he doesn't understand how weird it is to comment on a woman's pubes to her face. Stop thinking this is something like Beelzebub, or Baka & Test, it's not.

As for me... This is genuinely starting to wear thin on my "is it even worth reading anymore" opinion. I was still on team Arnest, but at least in this manga (not the novel), these last 3 chapters have pretty much made me jump ships.

Lmao. Cu, a literal child, was more willing to help and want Blade to grow than all of his "friends".

Starts at chapter 18 from what I know. Arnets rival (Ice Sword Holder) shows up and blade teaches her how to unleash her powers in a complete demon form, which is one step above asmodeus´ current demon form, to beat arnest down. Arnest gets pretty pissed that blade would help someone who wants to destroy her... wait a second. Didn´t she just do the same on a much higher level? Oh, the double morale. CAN YOU TASTE THE SWEET SCENT OF HYPOCRISY?. Still, though, the new girl respects blade and sees his worth!

@gigabarto because they see him as a formidable opponent. Rather than an enemy, it's just as fellow students in this school of heroes, they want to see someone that can beat him down once in a while - they are frustrated at his absurd power. Of course when thing getting serious, like in the battle with the Demon Lord's daughter, they will surely cooperate with him.

@cor3zone @gigabarto

think of it like if you were playing against a friend in a video game, and no matter how hard you tried your friend could effortlessly defeat you, time after time. You get frustrated but no matter how hard you try you cant beat them, so it would be nice to see them lose just once or so. Its actually pretty realistic in terms of human interaction, the kind of emotions we dont get in most manga cuz 2d characters

@banjomarx I don't know about you, but I would never help a stranger plot to kill my friends because I lost some games to them.

When she shot that beam that missed him it should have Vegeta'd half the crowd. Not so funny to help a murderous stranger attack the person who saved the world and you personally now, is it?

Firstly, the attack may seem strong but I bet there's no casualties except some burned their hair and clothes and have some bruises. After all, expect more powerful attacks from the stronger ones like Mao and especially Blade himself. He was more of the trouble maker here, destroyed more buildings and beat his fellows on occasions.

Secondly, yeah it's funny because its a gag manga doing its job, althought it is stupid. Don't expect anything serious here. She had been brainwashed influenced so that instead of proceeding to mercilessly attack and kill him, she obeyed the rules and urged him to surrender.

And lastly, very few knoew his hero identity. It's exactly they were close to him and knew nothing of his past and were so friendly with him that they helped the robots to win over him, they didn't think she would kill him though, or rather she couldn't kill him. But if he couldn't attack her then it's his loss, that's their strategy. If they were not his friends, they wouldn't bother to do this.

I thought Blade was the strongest Hero (Eiyuu)
and demon king strongest demon (Maria is not a demon king)?

If I ever see this child strung up with a kinky ball gag again I will determine the resonant frequency of the author's body and play a jaunty horn solo that boils their organs inside out

Yeaaah, these kids were just being stupid brats about this and it could've blown up so badly in their faces. But also, I suppose if Blade really felt like they were in danger he would've just one shot her, "mortal" or not. Still stupid of them to put him in that position at all.
