its actually written in novel about that part but only he say he don't live longer and hard to feel other emotion (sociopath) strange in manga they add him saving a girl . . than include actual important scene for the plot
The LN does mention him saving a girl from a bully, only for him to go overboard with the retaliation and scare off the girl he tried to save.

I'm confused about the untruth itself. Does this mean that in the point of view of the modern world, Elrise kissed Vernel to revive him? Since we know she didn't do that in the last chapter.
There's a really simple answer for that. It should be in the next chapter unless they do something weird.

I'm surprised how many people forgot this happened in the novel

The manga doesn't explain it, but every time "Elrise" does something for the MC, it becomes an "event" that will exaggerate what "Elrise" and the MC did in that scene. Which, is what happened in this chapter here. The LN explains it better though.

I think he's talking about how it's a visual novel with multiple routes, so similar events can play out different ways, and he's trying to figure out what the "true" route/ending is?

Wait I'm confused. Is this a flashback? Did this happened before the main story? Or was this happening in the present?
It's definitely in the present. There were some flashbacks to his life before, but this is the half of him that is still in the "real world," and the reason he was able to return to his own body every so often. That's why he was coughing up blood and saying he doesn't have much time since the half on Earth is currently dying and eventually both halves of his soul will reunite in the "game world." (Putting things in quotes since clearly there is more to all of this than one world being real and the other being just a game.)

It's something they addressed in an earlier chapter. As his Elrise half goes through stuff in the game world, more potential flags open up on Earth. So in the scene where Elrise revives Vernel, we know that no kissing or mouth to mouth of any kind came into play, and yet, scenes have been added in such that Vernel gets revived through a kiss in that seen if Vernel has high enough affection for Elrise. In other words, someone on the development team is adding in scenes to the "Elrise route" that are portraying events that are false, both in the sense that they would never happen since the MC isn't into Vernel, at least supposedly (who knows what Elrise's body wants,) and in the sense that they don't work within the world's logic since Elrise doesn't have the kind of healing magic needed for a kiss to revive him, which creates the question of why they are doing this and what else do they know about what is going on.

They kind of explained it in the manga when the Elrise half and the half on Earth first interact with one another, it wasn't a thorough explanation, but I'm kind of surprised at how many people are struggling with this as a manga only reader myself

Ahem Yes, hello, can you provide some official comments about my wild delusional fantasy headcanon I've been dreaming for the past months or so about a what-if Elrise route? It's been my favourite game, I can't stop thinking about living in that world as Elrise and having the protagonist be on my route swoon. Did I mention how obsessed I am with the game? Look, I've even brought part of the fanfic material I wrote about a potential Elrise route. Couldn't bring it all, there's too much, and I haven't even finished writing it all yet. I've even tried to gauge the receptions of other players by suggesting a CPR cg for an Elrise route. Maybe we shouldn't put that in, but what do you think?

How's he going to confront the company without looking like a deeply deluded fan?
Although, this way is fine too lol.

About that, this is a very big spoiler so open at your own risk
So basically, a "person" from that world is reverse Isekai to Japan and wrote OUR Elrise story.
They died near the end of the story so they know what basically happened.
Then they wrote a web novel about it and got asked to be adapted to VN. But the company feel Elrise is incredible Mary Sue and no one would want to play a game where everything get solved by one person, so the reincarnated person told to write all other girl route.
The reincarnated person is mad because the reason they wrote the novel on the first place because they want to remember and told Elrise story to someone, so the company relent and add Elrise story as a hidden route with ridiculous requirement to trigger it. The company also ask to give more romantic moment if they want the route to be added since THIS IS a dating game.
The person who wrote it KNOWS that it's impossible for Elrise to do all those romantic things, but they throw it in just to appease the devs.
and that's how the VN is created.

as for the one with Fat Elrise, same thing happens (reverse Isekai), but the world have a bad end and the reincarnated person mostly wrote the WN-VN just to have someone to know there's a world that ended, somberly

This is how
Since we all know the VN changed, he wrote an email about Fat-Elrise in details to the devs and found someone who actually remember the past version of the VN

Right, I forgot about the first soul meet up with Elrise's old and new body. The manga's pacing is really wonky, that's why I forgot.
