I mostly enjoyed this manga before those two ended up swapping genders again for some reason. It felt forced to me tbh. At some point it felt like stalling just to get more chapters out there. Like, they went back to square one because their genders changed again? That whole shit about love when they fought Rize just... gone??? Am I just missing something??? I would've thought that that made them share a little more intimacy or something. It kind of just felt like it was doing shit just because ending it would mean that the author couldn't milk the series any longer.
I really enjoyed the plot when it was during the dungeon. Rize and Nazuna and Lightning. The send-off of Nazuna and Lightning in particular sure made me sad since those two are the best characters in the series for me. That was probably the only time I actually cried reading this because of their backstories. God I fucking hate the fact that after that, I would just completely stop enjoying it altogether.
Imo there's also some characters that are don't really make sense to me. Shen coming back was pretty good, but it did feel kinda sudden? Like he just suddenly shows up, just because. Remember the Elf? As far as I know, she suddenly got taken by some Kraken looking mf and she disappeared ever since. Very underused character imo, should've at least came back again just like Shen. Those other two villains too. It's not like they fucking died like Rize, they just escaped or went to God knows where. I get that they had their time in the story, but literally why do so many characters keep dissapearing?
I only made it to Chapter 162 so do feel free to correct me on stuff that happens on later chapters I couldn't read. I just couldn't bear reading it anymore when I practically had a straight face for like 10 chapters in a row. Such a shame since I really enjoyed the comedy from the earlier chapters. I don't really know how it went so wrong for me after the whole Rize
I felt the same, but that's how story goes. Just enjoy it.I mostly enjoyed this manga before those two ended up swapping genders again for some reason. It felt forced to me tbh. While I do understand ur viewpoints on this, hell this is one of my favorite series and even I thought they were dragging the second genderswap out a bit, in my opinion, looking back on it it is absolutely worth it. Because even just ignoring the end conclusion of that arc wich I will NOT spoil. It is during and because of this arc that Tachibana realises that she/he idfk enjoys being a woman, crazy I know. After this arc they just become just more flirty in general (especially Tachibana)I mostly enjoyed this manga before those two ended up swapping genders again for some reason. A great read. For people who are caught up, a question with spoilers up to chp. 206: Is it worth continuing? The romance plot has turned into that of Kaguya-sama Love is War .... which was a good story but one of that trope is exactly as many as I care to read. Can someone give me a mild spoiler as to whether this is how the story goes from now on?
