LB4 is about the end of the world (indian myth)
and in this chapter , Pandora's box is supposed to be opened when the world ends.

@armjoe pretty much how the original story goes for Pandora's box if i recall. Tanaka should be Prometheus after giving Fire to humans was locked away by Zeus up in some mountain forever or something and since she's immortal..... And then Zeus giving the box to Pandora, which she then opens it after some time release all of every evil out there and a glimmer of hope

unless the author decides to make Tanaka/Prometheus the HOPE inside of the box that escaped before it was opened making the box just a container or pure evil, basically making Tanaka trying to prevent the box from opening
