Great, random small-fry villain gets angry at the consequences of his own stupid actions.
  • Expects the whole world to know the symbol of his country's royal delegation. Immediately gets rude when finding someone who doesn't.
  • Gets rude to the savior of said delegation even as his princess is trying to be friendly. (This would work better as a character that attempts to make the princess keep some distance and would even be justified in doing so.)
  • Hits an animal for no reason, despite said animal being his savior's companion and the target of his princess' affection.
  • Still angry after being put in his place by two members of his own hierarchy.
So, a bigot elf who places his hate over his country's royalty.

Given his inability to hide his disdain and aggression, it's extremely surprising that he is part of a diplomatic delegation, no matter his skills... which are apparently not even that great. This can reflect poorly on the elf country and royalty.

The fact that the princess let him off so easy makes her just as bad as far as I'm concerned. Really hope she's not gonna end up being the/a FL. Should have let the mammoth kill them.

Good lord that male elf couldn't have any less of a character if he was in a Michael Bay movie. He's just a swirling mass of antagonism taking the temporary form of a humaniod.

Thank you for the chapter! How the hell does the princess allow that asshole to retain his position? He clearly is the kind of person who will ignore her orders out of spite to fulfill a personal vendetta, get innocent people in trouble or even killed, and all-in-all seems like both a terrible person AND terrible servant.
The Princess herself is clearly very naive and sheltered despite being "good natured", which being straight I hate from a writing perspective. A leader is always RESPONSIBLE for their retainers and followers. The dumb troupe of "Oh this naive monarch is 100% good and perfect; it's just that their followers are the problem." This doesn't even seem like a case of an older advisor manipulating them into a puppet. The princess seems very much in charge and to have a good level of autonomy and authority beyond her antagonistic male elf retainer. Yet he's just allowed to be the worst and she barely takes note of it. Even before he attacked, she should have reprimanded him early on for his tone toward someone that saved them. She did nothing. She only ever even got involved when she saw a "dog" she wanted to forcibly pet.

No kidding. As part of the royal retinur, he is literally representing their entire country and people. His actions could very easily start a war since him being rude means their entire country and race is being rude by extension. Like, if he did that to MC's parents or cousins instead of MC, their country would get wiped off the map.

Yh, how do these people without a shred of diplomacy and self-controll get Jobs in diplomatic missions. I get it if it's the royalty themselves, but a mere retainer?
