opened this chapter while listening to some music and the contents made me feel so bad it actually soured the music and I felt like I had to stop it. God damn it why do I still read this, although getting Victoria's backstory is making me rethink a lot of stuff so at least it wasn't all negative. At the end of the day, she and her mother were just as much victims of the royal family as a lot of other people in the story, and I do wonder if seeing all that will make Raoul view her any differently or change what he had planned for her
