@ShortBarrelRaifu Everyone in this story has to be pure to unrealistically evil otherwise the protagonist actions would not be vindicated and would devolve this manga into torture porn without a fishnet over it.

For example: If we found out the doctor, who he brutally tortured and killed, was actually trying to find a cure for a Bubonic plague type cure to save millions of lives, and had to justify her funding through advances in military & chemical warfare. Then a rational person would be left in a moral grey area where you might have argued for her side, but hey, get that morally grey shit out of this torture porn manga.

It looks like he is about to get revenge on the city that turned away the soldiers that looked like monsters. I disagree with this for a few reasons. One being that if they saw monsters outside their village then why would they just open up their doors? The second being if they just prefer to be left alone then they don't deserve the levels of gore and torture porn the MC is most likely going to do. This just leaves a bad taste in my mouth so im dropping this manga here.

From this manga, I learnt that revenge is waste of time. We can admit our mistakes and prevent it from happening again instead of not accepting our flaw and being hurt again, keep blaming the people who hurt us in the past. E.g. start testing people instead of just blindly trusting people.

@XionXD Actually, its source material published a second volume a few months ago which is almost 300 pages long and has another "grandiose target" to unleash his might justice upon. Unless they change stuff in this adaptation or they decide to not adapt the second book I don't think it'll be axed soon.

By this point, you should have realized everyone the hero is taking revenge from is nothing but a piece of shit and those villagers are no exception. In the end they just got their just desserts.
If it makes you feel better, though it probably won't, he doesn't murder their kids, since they're innocent.

If the village did something then sure he can get revenge on them. The way its presented is the problem. He comes off like hes doing it because they turned the monsters away. Author should of showed more to justify it. Him saving the kids is nice but would need to see if he actually makes sure they're taken care of. My issue doesnt really stem from killing an innocent village just how its not presented very well for this round of torture porn.

@Rin2k Even so I still think it's gonna recive the axe soon, I don't know if the LN is good or not but I sure can say that this manga doesn't make me wanna read it. Sure I woul have love if the story explored the "hero's" psyque since it has been hinted that he was insane/had some dark stuff lurking in him and he had the goddess seal it in orer to be more hero like, but none of that has ever been touch upon again and the fact that he is so almighty also brings the revenge plot down since it has been shown that he is practically a god himself so him claiming "revenge" feels more like a kid burning ants with a magnifier for fun.

Also so much carnage and no plot wears the reader down.

@F00M Ever heard of Mendel? I mean damn dude he was just like the doctor. It isn't unrealistic, cause worse has happened in this world. WWII, Vietnam, USSR, and stuff the Chinese and N.Koreans do today are just as, if not more horrific. I mean. N. Korean leaves people in water until limbs fall off. The Japanese used P.O.W and civilians i n WW2 to see how long it takes to kill someone by removing organs without anesthetic. Don't get me started on what happens in Africa in some countries. 9 days late, but, no, I don't feel it's cartoonishly villainous or over the top.

Revenge porn with next to no story; filled with gore and sexual violence, if that's your cup of tea. Each "chapter" is only a handful of images, much like a Chinese manhua.

Honestly, in my opinion, reading something else would be more worthwhile.

The entire world is cartoonishly fucking evil. What kind of absolute retard was the pre-betrayal hero that he didnt notice any of this shit going on? It's not as if any of the fuckers are trying to be subtle about it. Not that it would redeem it, but I hope at the end you find out that the hero didnt actually defeat the demon king and the entire story was either a) a hallucination caused by one of the demon kings attacks or b) a hallucination caused by one of the demon kings attacks but one where he still did what he did i.e. the demon king enscorcelled him and sent him back to the kingdom to wreak unintentional havoc.
