Yeah, this pair is where the manga skipping the alternative perspective chapters is really starting to hurt with lost context. :haa:

Lan only had like one or two of those chapters before she joined.

I think this priest had at least half a dozen, maybe even 10...

True, compared to the MC character development, i still prefer how the mc sister develop

since it shows she actually just a innocent girl influenced by bad surrounding due to her parent and the church
When she know she need to become better person, her adventure is more intriguing for me, like it also include royalty political affair and almost getting kidnapped
her struggle is more relatable to me since her situation is more vulnerable than the mc

Fortunately this is a SFW manga where clothes are preserved in the transformation process... it helps that Gaius is a boy, since these contrived wardrobe mishaps often happen to girls.

Offering to give them a hostage makes it seem like Lerunda's village is dealing with a barbaric people used to violence and bloodshed. The implication is that their hostage's life is forfeit if they fail and that's a very extreme way to do things. Maybe it's a custom of the (warlike) peoples from land they were driven away from.

Fortunately the hostage is a peaceful girl about her age, the mysterious Phyto who we've seen before and who seems to be the Miko equivalent of her people. It would be nice to see them become friends, but her people's actions has created a deep scar of mistrust which will take time to heal even if they've already sent someone as important as her as a hostage.

Oh boy. In the middle of one crisis here comes another old problem come to haunt her. Lerunda's already living a decent life there, can't these other humans be satisfied with their mistake? (of course they won't, now that they probably realized they got scammed with a fraud miko)

I'm very curious about what happened to her sister now.
