Being an extrovert doesn't matter. Having social skill does.

Full and complete couple. Nothing less. No almost, sort of, kind of. Dating. Just not banging. The only "almost" is "almost married".

Never laugh at a guy crying. He'll stop, and you'll be wondering why he doesn't show his emotions.

I think I'm sort of following it, but this whole story is like... trying to be deep, but failing at it.
Yeah, that's my impression as well. Trying to be deep and emotionally reflective and shit, but manages little more than being the manga version of an inspirational poster. It could maybe be better if you read it all at once, but I'm not sure.

I think I'm sort of following it, but this whole story is like... trying to be deep, but failing at it. It's like a not-smart person trying to write a really smart story. It reminds me of OreGairu but without the intelligence required of the author.

I think the basic idea is that because of what happened with Shiori (people around them becoming more aware of the difference between boys and girls, maturing, becoming teenagers, that sort of thing), and that being pushed onto Jirou and Shiori, Jirou basically couldn't handle it, didn't know how to deal with it, so instead rejected everything and isolated himself out of fear of being... judged, made fun of, idk.
Explains kanamaru quite well actually.

How else does she think couples live together :nyoron:
Now that we went past the "does he/she actually like me" uncertainty before confessing please no more "do couples actually fuck" drama.
Anyway, once we get the exams finally done with, this should be resolved naturally...

So uh, the whole making up with his past friends was nice and stuff, but not really clear. From my understanding, folks made fun of him for being close to Shiori back then? And thus he distanced himself from her and his friends who were part of(?) the bullies?

Thanks for the upload!

It's super common in manga, but also novels too. When authors want to get across some "deep" change in a character's thinking, but use internal monologue to do it, it usually becomes pretty nonsensical and cringy because it's not how people think or talk to themselves in reality. It comes off like the author is breaking the fourth wall a lot of times too.

The fact that she still isn’t sure how he feels just proves how badly he’s been failing. His fuckup friends know his feelings but she doesn’t? What a total knob. He actually deserves to have her stolen at this point

That Jirou kid is a healthy straight one. You should never worry about him. He is 100% having pervert desire in his heart.

Now the question is if Jirou fails or not. Kanamaru sensei already confirmed the manga is about to end, so I’d give it until the end of the year. Tankoubon 13 is on sale in March and it should probably end in 15 or so.
Imagine he fails then just tells Akari that means they can't date and boom the manga ends

I don't think the manga is trying to be deep, on the contrary, it tries to tell you many times what its thesis is, and that thesis is that if you try not to suffer by isolating yourself, you will end up suffering more, that's why he reconciles with his friends because he understands that he was partly to blame for what happened. Akari's story is more boring because the fact that she asks herself again if the main character loves her doesn't make any sense its just a cliffhanger xdd
