I like how the SDF guys explained what happened at the end. Practically explains one of the reasons I dare fly a real plane but not land it.😆
When you think about it, their solution was actually spot on. Get enough airspeed while her wings are in gliding position. And once she's up in the air, it's all up to her.
However you would expect flying would be instinctual for a flying species...
It is. But once she failed to take off, it gets rather hard. A good example is when people have been bed ridden or wheel chair bound, they need rehab to be able to walk again. Even when they've regained muscle strength.

But it happens, if you don't practice frequently you end up forgetting, specially with something so difficult like flying. However you would expect flying would be instinctual for a flying species...
as a dude who got a stroke (with half-body hemiplegia) few years ago, yeah, you can even forget how to move your muscles and have to "workout" to re-learn from scratch...

Dang... you doing alright nowadays? Not trying to make light of your issues, but how was the 'training arc' needed to move forward from that?

training arc ( :lul: )took 3 months. nothing much about it: 4 to 6h/day of physical training and 2 to 4h of elocution/logopedics (yup, voice had gone haywire with half my face too. i was a mix between gollum and a baby trying it's first words). the only good things were 1) fam bring me my laptop and phone so i could use the internets and keep up with anime, and 2) a few cute nurses... still cannot super saiyan, tho.

was in 2020, nowadays i'm still weak at left arm and can't work too much, but the worst i have is hypersalivation: i got so sic of always swallowing my own saliva, i spit a FUCKING lot.

money-related, there was no "direct" impact (as crazy hospital fees) since i live in a free healthcare cuntry...
