Being a pain in the ass here, but I don't think that tank round would have properly armed/exploded against that target? I'm sure it would depend on what kind of round was loaded, but for detail-oriented manga, they never specified loading something directly anti-personnel. To me, that looked like it would have only have been a kinetic hit. Yes, it would have surely screwed that critter up, but it may have been more effective to use the browning .50 caliber on top or the coaxial gun (in 7.62) to hose a chunk of that group at one time.

It's not racist if it's against a state government and not the actual race of people. Ethnic Chinese aren't the problem, just take one look at what the CCP are doing in regard to Taiwan and the South China Sea and tell me none of this is "in-character" for that government.

The irony is a lot of Chinese today...netizens at least...would support the actions of the Chinese spies here...to them might is right, and so is Chinese superiority and entitlement philosophy. And in particular they obsess over how they need edgy underhanded means to get what is really due to to them. The only irony is your highly bias view of China and their people, look at Chinese history and how their interaction with the outside world, most of the time, they keep their business to themselves, and what does outsiders do when they get to China ? The fact that China haven't nuke Japan to the ground for what they done in Nanking already show just how merciful they are. I am not Chinese, but if something like Nanking ever to happen to my country, and I was in a position of power, Japan would be a nuclear wasteland by now. Replace criticism of "China" with "America". Is it now racist to criticize America and its shitty government? No, because that's stupid. "American" is not a "race". The fact that you're genuinely trying to shield criticism of the government of China by calling all criticisms "racist" is just plain dumb, and makes me question if you're legitimately Vietnamese. There is no "CCP" in China. If you mean the country, it is the PRC - Peoples Republic of China. If you mean the Communist Party, then it is the CPC - Communist Party of China. That is the offical english name.

As for why China would do so: Kinda obvious, why the fuck would they not get antsy when their totally-not-fascist-wink-wink neighbour suddenly got access to a whole world to colonize and exploit. That would mean Japanese Empire 2.0 in short order, China never forgot about Nanjing.

The only unrealistic part is that both koreas, Indonesia and the Philipines would not do the same, for the same reason. And the US would not outright invade to gain access and keep Japan as its puppet.

The problem with your example si that you do not explain what critique is. Almost all "critique" I have seen of China was plain racism and yelling about hoaxes like the "Uyghur genocide", the only genocide without any non-doctored evidence.

Actual critque requires knowledge of the local situation, and people who think China is the "CCP" have not even the intellectual curiosity of researching for their own for 5 minutes. Ergo they flatout do not know anything substantial to critique. Their knowledge comes from "China uncensored" (Falun Gong channel), ZerpentZa and LaoWhy86 (both made a career of depicting chinese as subhuman and China as barbaric, eventually they got kicked out for violating their visa conditions.) or other "China bad" sources, of which there are many, the US has a budget of 1.8 billion Dollars for this stuff.

Meanwhile the US does not even pretend not to be the most evil country in history. Thus making critique very obvious and easy.
