@sylvacoer necroposting because I'm bored and I just noticed the notifications. I don't really care about the characters in NW to follow Japan's values, in fact if I would complain about it, it would be that the citizens of NW have been more quick to adapt that what I consider realist.
What I'm complaining is that he was in previous chapters following the same tactics as the current villian, prince Zorzal, and now the manga portraits it in a sympathetic fashion because of the wise king trope. Many here complain about the lack of character progression, but the criticism was never about characters stuck on the same behavioral pattern, but it is about how the characters motifs, personality and how the rest of the world interacts with them changes without any coherence. This is what is happening here, and unless the author somehow calls on this bullshit, these are hack tier writting skills.
