Pfft, those people protesting how this manga is pro Japanese military really look stupid. Like they never ever seen any single Hollywood military movies or scratch that, every single military video games ever. This is for most of the part written for and by Japanese person, of course they'll paint Japanese army as the good guy.

Though i guess this portrayal of Japanese military does look inaccurate. I mean where's all the Gundams? Pretty sure those Japanese has some lying around. I mean isn't there one just standing around in Odaiba? It just need one "angsty Japanese teenager accidentally stumbled upon it" away from before they'll deploy it to war.

This is written for right wing nationalistic 2ch nerds. FFS the idea of a portal to another world opening in Japan requires less suspension of disbelief than the way international relations are portrayed in this series. It's possible to enjoy it in spite of that but it's just stupid to act as if there are no problems.

You're absolutely right, of course. It's a fairly ultra-nationalist series and specific scenes like the one you mentioned are occasionally pretty ridiculous. But it is fun, and it's an excuse to have a bunch of military porn. As long as you understand that it's going to take a pro-hardline stance at pretty much every opportunity, it's easy to enjoy it without having your fun ruined by the jingoism.

As others have said: This is a fun action Manga, with lots of Military Porn, if you're into that this is the best thing ever.
Just keep in mind that it's also pretty obviously Nationalistic and Militaristic Propaganda.

Though arguably not on a worse level than Hollywood stuff like Transformers.

Transformers doesn't go so far pushing an agenda as to do something as ridiculous as imply that the press only covers the military exclusively to accuse them of wrongdoing.

How delicious this manga is. I love moments like curbstorming but I also love harem and I glad this manga have both. I see no reason to discard the harem just because other titles have it.
Going in extreme is no good. Discarding the harem and go full military-diplomacy or discard the military and go full harem are both no good.

The author is a former JSDF and because of that, he sees all the media trashing the services and takes it personally that all media are out to get them rather than media reporting on the issues of the day. Sadly, this all too common.

.... @Fermooto Pleaes no. The Manga Style is close to the LN style ... the Aniem style is the moefied version of it, so they "sell" better. This here is the more "realistical" version.

The books have enough material for 6~7 anime seasons.
The Manga is following the LN plotline mostly and the Anime was a rushed Plotline mostly ^^.

I guess we can have this manga for another 10 years.
Or if the sales were good enough of the moefied anime version .. another 3 seaons in 10 years total too.
